Welcome to Lalaland, Dec 2007

La La Land is a documentary film project about life, people and Los Angeles and is presented as a web site with the total of 148 different clips that makes the site ”Welcome to Lalaland”. The clips are presented in a raw, more or less uncut version. They are as real as ”real” can be. At the site anyone can take a sight seeing tour and navigate around Lalaland with the help of the symbolic map. Every clip is connected to a square or a triangle and spread out by chance. The clips varies in length from less than half a minute to over ten minutes. The films are connected to the La La Land project as events and people are connected to any megacity: the connections, hits and events are mostly by chance and coincidences. The structures are hard to find but the possibilities seems endless. Welcome to Lalaland. Let's go shop around!

Reijmye Matters, Aug 2007

In August 2007 Muungano was invited to participate in the Reijmyre Matters workshop, a follow up workshop from Civic Matters (Los Angeles, USA) that Muungano attended in january 2006. Muunganos intention was to go to Reijmyre glass factory (Finspång, Sweden) without any pre condictionsdoing reserche for a possible collaboration Reijmyre/Muungano. The outcome of the week in Reijmyre is the strategy proposal that follows:

The relation product-producer.

How can one create, develop and emphasise certain wanted values in a product and an enterprise? Can one create or increase the demand for a product by adding some certain values of experience of craft in a mass produced product?
Can one create a product that optimises the cost efficiency and simultaneously communicate added values such as uniqueness in craft and expression? Can one use the experience of the moment of production to emphasise the product with these values? Can the very production be described as a performance through the manufacturing? How can an enterprise develop, manage and relate to its image? Can an artistic approach and action lead to an increased profit or in other ways benefit a enterprise?

Muungano has examined the possibility to create a value of craft in the mass produced through forms of production that amplifies the unique expression in each individual product.
Muungano has simultaneously worked with ideas of how one could develop and profit of the performance and the communication of the physical manufacturing of product.

Muunganos proposal is an active use of the production manner and production event as a tool to create positive synergies between the arena, actor, audience and consumer. Not the least to increase the experienced value and profitability.
